Unfortunately, the Utah child support calculator does not take any of that into consideration! It only considers gross income for both parties (gross income is income before any deductions are taken out), insurance payments by both parties and whether either party is paying other child support from other court orders.
Even if both parties make exactly the same amount of income, with the non-custodial parent paying for family medical insurance the lowest payment allowed is around $100.00 a month for one child and about $450.00 a month for three children. The amount of $100.00 does not seem like a lot of money but, again, we have never seen a non-custodial parent who does not go far above and beyond the court ordered amount!
